Description: Can someone help me design this in 3 ways: 1) simple solid model 2) with 20% hexagonal infill--designed into the dogbone 3) 20% rectilinear infill for 3D printing on FDM and stereolithographic machines

Project views: 280

Project status: New Now accepting: Designs

Design Type-Tier: technical-bronze

Design Price: US$100.00 | Paid: US$100.00

Fabrication Price: Payment Pending

Order Number: 20180130182225-970-10-0

Material desired: 3d printed plastics

Quantity desired: 5

Additional Information: This is for a materials testing project and comparison across multiple desktop 3d printing machines and professional grade machines. We want to isolate as many process variables (slicing / machine) and geometric variables as possible to get to isolate materials as fabricated using 3D printers. This will be a follow on experiment to this work: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Chris_Mccoy2/publication/308709141_Materials_Testing_of_3D_Printed_ABS_and_PLA_Samples_to_Guide_Mechanical_Design/links/59617d4caca2728c11f08595/Materials-Testing-of-3D-Printed-ABS-and-PLA-Samples-to-Guide-Mechanical-Design.pdf The authors also talk about a “designed” infill and have sample pictures showing the issues with fully solid models.
