Additional Information: I wanted to talk to you about an idea to collaborate on. I've been looking into a percussive instrument/Shaker that i see some potential in. It originated in west Africa but the Japanese have adopted it. It's a combination of instrument and skill toy. I think it has a similar appeal as the Kendama, which has become really popular with kids in the last few years. It's a super simple design. It has many names... the Japanese call it Asalato and Patica, in Africa it is called Kes-Kes and Koshika among other names. I'll attach a few video examples.
I'm wondering how we could go about making a few test versions and if you thing 3d printing would be a good way to go. It's basically a shaker ball with two holes. I'd like to figure out how to do a light up version in the future as well. Anyway, Let me know what you think.
