Roku remotes keep breaking. We want a drop-in replacement housing that reuses the stock Roku remote internals (PCB, rubber button pad, 2x AAA batteries) and survives drops, kids, dogs, and couch life. Styling inspired by the legendary Nokia 3310.
Two versions:
1) Value version: target under $50 per unit at qty 10 (e.g., Formlabs Tough 1000 / SLA, SLS nylon, or sheet-metal + printed hybrid).
2) Premium version: CNC-machined 6061 aluminum, bead-blasted and anodized.
Requirements: fits the stock Roku remote PCB and rubber pad with no modification; all buttons, D-pad and IR/RF window line up and feel crisp; secure battery door that is hard to open accidentally; screw-together assembly (no snap clips to break); rounded, drop-friendly corners.
Deliverables: CAD for both versions, a printed/machined prototype of the value version, and a qty-10 cost quote.
Generic 'compatible with' design only — no Roku or Nokia logos or branding.
